Heidelberg Club International

The Heidelberg Club International draws together colleagues from the senior ranks of a number of disciplines in a spirit of international cooperation and friendship. HCI initiates projects, meetings, panel discussions and public events around the world, with an aim to develop an overall awareness of the City and its values, and in general to improve international cooperation.

The Club

The Club’s Officers include the city’s Mayor, Dr. Eckart Würzner, as President and the Chief of Staff of the Mayor’s Office, Nicole Huber, as General Manager. Branches of the Heidelberg Club International are established in the USA at New York/Eastcoast, Chicago/Midwest, Los Angeles and San Francisco/California, in Japan at Tokyo and Osaka, in Korea at Seoul, at London/Great Britain, at Peking/China, at New Delhi/India and at Heidelberg/Germany.

Membership of the HCI is selective and restrictive and limited to a total of 350 actives so that the benefits of membership may be maintained in a timely fashion and with the utmost standards of quality. Membership is at the discretion of the officers of the HCI and includes distinguished personages who support the basic objectives of the organization. It is the personal privilege of the President to welcome honorary members. When a member retires she/he becomes an alumni.
